Lois A. Brink
Prior to joining UCD in 1988, Professor Brink spent ten years in private practice in Philadelphia and Denver. During her twenty years at UCD she spent five years as department chair of the landscape
architecture program. Her research interests have spanned a diverse array of landscape interests including mine land reclamation, new community development, and ecological design. Learning Landscapes, a 25 million dollar initiative that has improved 52 public schoolyards for community and educational use, has been her primary research during the past six years. Learning Landscapes with its urban community-based projects, and youth and health focus will join CCCD and compliment its rural technical assistance program.
Lois Brink holds a Bachelors of Environmental Design and a Masters in Landscape Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania.
